RECORD BREAKER! Wayne Rooney Breaks Double Record

Manchester United captain today, January 21, 2017 once again relinquished his name as part of Manchester United's greatest player ever after breaking another record.

This time, the Manchester united man broke two records at the same time.

Wayne Rooney scored his 250th Manchester United goal to break Sir Bobby Charlton's club record and earn a 1-1 draw against Stoke.
The stoppage time equaliser, a free-kick, was the Red Devils captain's first goal in 15 Premier League games and cancelled out Juan Mata's own goal.
The striker produced a superb free kick four minutes into injury time to save United from defeat and extend their unbeaten run to 13 games.

Jose Mourinho's men seemed set for a defeat after Juan Mata's unfortunate own-goal but were able to salvage some joy from the game after Wayne Rooney's record-breaking goal.
Rooney drew level with Sir Bobby's record against Reading in the 4-0 FA Cup victory on January 7, but failed to score against Hull and Liverpool.
The goal also saw Rooney break Alan Shearer's record for the most scored away from home in Premier League history, moving him onto 88.
Rooney, 30, netted against Stoke City to score his 88th goal on the road from 174 away games, eclipsing Shearer's 87 goals scored for Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United.
The United and England skipper has set the record on his 450th Premier League appearance -- Shearer had played 441 when he was forced to retire from the game with a knee injury before the end of his final season in April 2006.
It was only Rooney's fifth goal in all competitions this season under Mourinho and leaves United three points off fourth place having played a game more than Arsenal.
His international tally now stands on 53 from 119 caps and is closing on Peter Shilton's record of 125 appearances for his country.
